So I installed a Windows XP environment through Parallels. It installed without any problems. I then proceeded to change the Administrator username and password, change the registry entry for the person the computer is registered to to something other than the default, and changed the computer name. I then went ahead and restarted the VM for the computer name change to finalize. Now when the VM is booted up it spins at the "Windows is starting up..." message. I had the VM still on on this screen for ~1 hour while troubleshooting this before I resorted to posting on the forums. As soon as I finished typing my post I checked my VM and it had booted through so I discarded the post. But, I restarted it again and have the same issue. It is still currently spinning at that screen but could go through at some point as the VM has been on for ~30 minutes but obviously I don't want to wait an hour each time I try to boot the VM.

    Edit:
Found the answer. Apparently if you allocate too many resources to XP it blows up because it existed in a time before our current resource stash.
