    Hi guys,

I am using Parallels Desktop 9 for Mac, and am trying to install Windows XP home edition using an .iso file that I created from an old purchased CD. However, I keep getting this error:

    Untitled.png

I have tried to change the boot order, by making CD/DVD first, and have tried to point it to the .iso file by selecting it in the CD/DVD 1 tab. Neither have worked.

    Hello Melb24 ,

Please check the file size of your Windows XP.pvm file. The default location of the .pvm file will be /User/Documents/Parallels/Windows XP.pvm (virtual machine name can be different) or it may be in /Users/Shared/Parallels/Windows XP.pvm .

If your Windows XP is installed completely, the size of Windows XP.pvm file will be in Gigabytes (GB). If it is not completely installed, please try re-installing your Windows XP using CD/DVD or using .iso image file. You can follow the steps suggested at: http://kb.parallels.com/4729 to (re)install Windows Virtual Machine.

If still the issue persists or if you have any questions please feel free to reply us back, we are happy to help you.
