My Quickbooks (QB) used to be fast in opening in the virtual machine. It now takes anywhere from 2-4 minutes particularly after the virtual machine has been idle. If I shut QB's down and restart it it will be faster usually 1-2 minutes and if I do it a third time it might get to the 30-45 sec. I am running XP Pro in Parallels Desktop 8 for Mac Build 8.0.18619 rev 1001606 April 24, 2014 Quickbooks Pro 2013 Mac Mini OS X 10.9.3 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5 4GB 1600 DDR3 I have tried reinstalling tools, uninstalling and reinstalling Parallels, Optimization settings. It appears that if the virtual machine is idle that the QB program is slow to respond at first if if already open. I have noticed a slight possibly speed loss with some of the other programs but it is so slight that it's hard to determine. The QB issue is very frustratingly noticeable. I have notice that the prl_vm_app is the top one listed on both CPU (8%) and Memory (522mb) in the Activity Monitor. In the Windows Task Manager shows QBW32.exe 210,476K and the QBDBMgrN.exe 62,944K. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this issue? Thanks, David
