When I load a new WINDOWS 7 VM, I have to go through a day of windows updates. Is it possible to capture the windows 7 image after the updates so if I recreate my VM, I will not have to do the hours of updates?

Hi, just copy the .pvm file and put it in a safe place. That will be the image of the system as of the day you copied it.

    Hello mezereon,

Your entire Windows operating system will be located in Windows 7. PVM file

If you take a backup of the Virtual Machine (.PVM file ), whenever you would like to recreate the Virtual Machine you can get it from your backup.

This .PVM file will include all the files, folder and applications that is present on your Windows Virtual Machine.

To find the .PVM file on your Mac, please check the knowledge-base article : http://kb.parallels.com/117333

Also to backup the virtual Machine, please follow the steps as suggested at : http://kb.parallels.com/8827

Feel free to reach us if you need assistance and we will happy to help you.
