Hi I currently have mac parallels for desktop 9. I have Office Mac 2011 installed and also Office Windows 2013 on parallels. Please could you advise how I can change the settings so that when i open e.g. a docx file in Finder in Mac, it actually opens the Windows Office software rather than the mac version. Hello OliverM1, Please follow the steps below: 1.In order to change file associations on the Mac side, please locate any Microsoft Office .docx file and choose "Get Info" option. 2.Under "Open With" section click on drop down menu. 3.Choose Microsoft Office (Mac). 4. Under your User folder find Applications (Parallels) folder and appropriate virtual machine folder. 5.
