When I move my cursor to the top of my screen the Parallels menu bar immediately appears. This makes it very difficult to close Windows 8 Store Apps by clicking the top of them and dragging down. The Windows short cut (Alt + F4) does not appear to work. On average it takes me 3 or 4 tries every time to try and close a store app. HIGHLY ANNOYING. I have raised a support request but heard nothing. This could be solved if we could set a short delay on the Parallels top menu bar appearing. What does everybody else do to close Win Store Apps? I must be missing something obvious here as it drives me nuts every day. Please help!
Hi Domainscanners, Please follow the steps provided below: 1. Go to Parallels Desktop menu > Preferences > Shortcuts tab > System Shortcuts > set 'Send System Shortcuts' option to 'Always'. 2. Start Virtual Machine > open Windows 8.1 Store App > use Windows shortcut "Alt + F4" to close the Application.
Tried that - doesn't appear to work Why cant we set a short delay in the preferences? Surely that would take less than 5 mins to code into the next version?
Hi Domainscanners, Please Active screen corners. Go to VM Configuration (http://kb.parallels.com/117287) > Options > Full Screen > Uncheck Use Mac OS X Full screen and check Active screen Corners > Now change the view mode to Full Screen > open Windows 8.1 Store App > use Windows shortcut "Alt + F4" to close the Application or close Windows 8.1 Store App by clicking the top of them and dragging down.
