    Dear memeber of this forum,

I have a MacBook Pro (on Mavericks) and I want to use some programs from my PC (Windows 7).
Do I need to buy a copy of Windows or may I "import" this from my PC?
If I have to buy, may I buy a later version of Windows than WIndows 7?

    Thanks for your attention.

    Hello leopoldov,

Parallels Desktop does not come up with Windows operating system and you need to install Windows OS separately on your Parallels Desktop to use Windows applications.

If the license on Windows PC is not an OEM license then you can migrate your Windows PC to Parallels Virtual Machine as suggested at : http://kb.parallels.com/115007

If not you can buy any version of Windows 7 or Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 whichever you would like to use and you can install it on your Parallels

Desktop by following the steps as suggested at : http://kb.parallels.com/4729 and then install the application that you would like to use

    on your Windows Virtual Machine.
