    Fresh install

Outlook will not remain stable after about an hour of work on it. it will just lock up, crash and restart. I did a fresh install because i thought it was my old VM. Same issue with brand new install, all windows updates and SP's installed.

its like there is a memory leak and it just crashes because office isnt able to use shared memory.

Do not ask about outlook 2011, its complete garbage, it wont even spell check prior to sending emails. It was made purposely to piss off anyone leaving windows/office 2010.

Anyone else experience this issue? I cannot find many topics or posts and i am doing fresh installs with the same issue occuring.

    Thanks

I have just moved to a new iMac. Running Office 2010 in Parallels.

Am having regular unexplained crashes in Outlook, often when spell checking. Several times a day, just now twice in 10 minutes.

Using default settings, Word as editor.

I did not use the transporter from my old PC as (coincidentally) it has lost internet access and despite an hour on phone Dell cannot solve. Instead I just installed a new copy Windows 8.1 and my own copy of Office 2010 by product key.

Copied Outlook PST file from PC, had some problems, got all of my old emails alright, but contacts and appointments not fully functioning and custom.dic not copied.

Tried to import the contacts and appointments separately but in spite of asking not to duplicate, it starting copying all of my email folders again so i panicked and aborted it, which also caused a crash. However regular crashes had been occurring before and since that occasion anyway.

Decided rather than mess around further I will recreate these as I go because old PC had a lot of outdated entries anyway.

Outlook 'rules' came over alright, but have had to set up email accounts and conditional formatting (colouring my emails) from scratch.

Have already tried a 'repair' of Office in Windows.

Parallels support is a bit awkward, they won't talk to you here in Australia, you just get emails that take 24 hours to turn around due to time zone difference.

They have now offered an on line support session but I was hoping to avoid another install and setting everything up again as my emails have been constantly chnanging since the PST copy i took from PC several days ago.

Very keen for any thoughts please.

    Thankyou.
