Mavericks on Mac Desktop, Parallels 9/9.024229, Windows 7.

Installed parallels with no problem and selected coherency mode. Had trouble installing Win7 from dvd, so I transferred from old PC via external drive. Not ideal, but it seemed to work. Parallels tools also installed.

Problems: Windows is very slow to boot; Win applications do not launch; According to the manual, applications should appear in Mac find and Doc - they do not. I can only launch windows from the Mac Launchpad via parallels; coherency is greyed out both in the top right corner of windows, and View from Parallels task bar menu (means it's active?).

    My Parallels settings are:
Sharing - Home folder only; share mac user folders with windows; access windows folders from mac; mount virtual disk to mac desktop; user define mac folder is documents
Security: Integration - Isolate Mac from Windows is NOT CHECKED.
Configure Dialog Mac folders mapped to windows: Desktop, music, documents, movies, pictures, downloads ALL CHECKED.

What am I missing/doing wrong/ or not doing?

    Thanks

    Hello BGleason,

This might happen if Parallels Tools are not installed properly.

Please try to (re)install Parallels Tools as suggested at : http://kb.parallels.com/4841 and then check how it goes !!!

Thanks, but discovered it was a faulty Windows install. Deleted windows and re-installed and all is working now.

    Thanks again.
