    Hello

I've just getting used to moving to an iMac after being a long time Windows user.

I need to buy an external hard drive to connect to the Mac to run Time Machine (back up).

The local Mac shop has Lacey (sp?), Seagate and Western Digital drives.

The guy said something about Seagate being better if I am running Parallels.

Is there a preferred option or does it make no difference which brand I buy?

    Thanks for any advice.

    Did he really say that!?

No, Parallels Desktop is brand agnostic, what will matter is reading and writing speeds.
