Parallel Desktop and Bootcamp

    I have on my computer now Parallel Desktop 8, I would like to also have Bootcamp on my machine also. The reason is my genealogy software (Legacy Family Tree) does not work with the harddrives that are showing. I called them and they said it was because I'm running a mac OSX. Is it possible to have Parallel Desktop and Bootcamp on the same machine?

    Hello JuniorM,

    Yes, it is possible to have Boot Camp and Parallels Desktop on the same machine.

    You can also convert the windows Operating System running on your Boot Camp to Parallels Virtual Machine : http://kb.parallels.com/112941

    Or you can install a fresh copy of Windows OS on your Parallels Desktop as suggested at : http://kb.parallels.com/4729
