Can you use OEM Windows 7 Pro disk on existing XP installation and do new install or is it better to create new VM and then delete the other? I know I will have to reinstall all applications. Currently have Parallels 9 and XP Pro but need Windows 7 for QuickBooks. Should I stick with 32 bit or go 64? Is that possible? Any help for this newbie is appreciated.
Hi walliec, You can install Windows 7 OS as a new installation as suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/4729 instead of Upgrading the existing VM. To remove/delete a VM, please follow the steps as suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/5029 For information about the version(32 or 64 bit) of Windows please refer http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/windows/32-bit-and-64-bit-windows#1TC=windows-7 Thanks, Abdul
