I installed Parallels and Windows 7 Ultimate successfully on my new MacBook Pro 15" last night.

Audio did not work out of the box - I had to manually download a Windows driver for AC'97. I was left with 3 entries within device manager which have a yellow "!" against them indicating they need a new driver. I managed to locate a Renesas USB 3 driver which resolved one of the 3.

I am now left with two entries and I cannot determine what they relate to and hence what drivers I need. The posts in the KB about devices simply say to delete them and scan for new hardware - this had no effect.

Anyone successfully set up the same config as me - I'm sure this must be a common setup? If so what drivers did you use?

A Google of the hardware IDs within the current drivers for these devices didn't turn up anything useful. I am wondering if they are network or thunderbolt-related?

You should not have to install drivers like that for basic functionality. Did you install Parallels Tools after you finished installing Windows to the VM? If you have, try uninstalling and reinstalling the tools.

Ah, not even aware of these Tools. Presumably they are on the site somewhere?

Okay I see they should be available from the VM. Will give it a try tonight.

The help/info for these doesn't mention anything about drivers though...

The Parallels Tools installation should have started automatically after first booting into the VM. If it doesn't, you can select to install the tools from the Virtual Machine menu when the VM is running.

Ran it manually and all is good now. Thanks.
