running parallels v9 on macbook pro trying to run windows 7 64bit professional. since my initial install tools has never completely installed. I have had numerous remote sessions and the support team was unable to resolve the issue.
    this was the last recommendation.

In this particular case, to resolve the issue I would recommend you to repair your Windows, to do it, please follow the next steps:

    1. Turn on your virtual machine so that Windows starts normally.

    2. Choose the installation CD/DVD or Image in Virtual Machine/Configure/Hardware/CD/DVD. "Connected" box should be checked.

    3. Open the Disk from My Computer on the Virtual Machine's side -> double click setup.exe

    4. On the Install Windows page, click Install now.

    5. On the _Get important updates for installation_ page, we recommend getting the latest updates to help ensure a successful installation and to help protect your computer against security threats. You need an Internet connection to get installation updates.

    6. On the _Please read the license terms_ page, if you accept the license terms, click _I accept the license terms_, and then click _Next_.

    7. On the _Which type of installation do you want?_ page, click _Upgrade_ to begin the upgrade. You might see a compatibility report.

If the compatibility report fails with error that you haven't got enough space, please close your VM and extend your virtual hard drive space: **Virtual Machine** -> **Configure** -> **Hard Disk 1** -> **Edit** (Windows needs 20 GB free space).

    Manoj,

thanks for your reply. i did as you instructed and firstly i did not have parallels tools was not available to uninstall. so i proceeded to the next step, msconfig all the startup was unchecked, as previously mentioned i have had Sergei, Vinitha and others try to fix this remotely. so i moved to services and unchecked what was remaining and restarted parallels again. I tried to launch the install of parallels tools and it quit again at 76% says it needs to restart.
