I've been using Desktop 7 with Windows 7 for a couple years. I purchased and installed desktop 9 today. It has not been a good experience. The installation of parallels tools failed. I was told to restart Windows and reinstall. When I did, that went through the upgrade process and eventually failed due to not finding \\psf\Home\desktop I restarted both Parallels and then windows. It started but all my settings were gone. The coherence window appears fixed at a 4:3 ratio. I can change the resolution of the virtual machine, but it then resizes with the window size. Neither \\psf\Home nor \\psf\Host appeared in Windows Explorer. Now when I restart Windows I get a network error "Windows cannot access \\psf\.Home\Desktop" Help!
Hi gpawle, Please try to reinstall Parallels Tools as suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/8969 Thanks, Abdul
Thank you. I have tried this. Parallels Tools does not appear in the "Programs and Features" list after clinking "Reinstall Parallels Tools". George
Perhaps you misunderstood me? This did not fix the problem. Parallels Tools do not get installed when I click "Reinstall Parallels Tools". Any ideas? Thanks, George
Hi gpawle, Please install Parallels Tools by following the steps outlined in the article below: http://kb.parallels.com/112609 Thanks, Looran
