downloading Parallels to MacBook Pro

I have been trying to download Parallels 9 to my MacBook Pro for an hour now. It shows that it is downloading and then at about 40+ MB's the progress bar disappears leaving just the total MB's that were downloaded......

frustrated to say the least......

Anyone have any ideas?
