When I try to select and drag and drop text in Word 2010 running in a Win 7 Pro vm, it does not work. Word also does not respond to Cmnd-Drag to copy selected text to another location.

How can we make this work?

    Hello dpbrick,

If you are running Parallels Desktop 9 for Mac :
Go to VM Configuration (http://kb.parallels.com/117287) -> Security -> Disable Isolate Mac from Windows if it is enabled.

If you are running Parallels Desktop 8 or any other version of Parallels Desktop, you can locate the Isolate Mac from Windows Option in :
VM Configuration (http://kb.parallels.com/117287) -> Options -> Security -> Disable Isolate Mac from Windows if it is enabled.

Please follow the steps as suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/4841 to resolve drag and drop issues on Virtual machine.

    Thanks,
    Maheeshwar

Thanks for your assistance, Maheeshwar. The Isolate Mac from Windows was already disabled, but reinstalling Parallels Tools did correct the drag and drop problem. Also the drag and duplicate function now works with Control-Drag, but it doesn't show the little plus sign ("+") next to the selection as it's being dragged.

    Thanks again for your help!
