HI, I recently installed parallels 9 on my 2013 mid mbp 15 retina, but after installing none of the VMs including ubuntu and windows 8 are able to detect my wifi adapter. My mac is connected to the internet using airport and I am able to connect to the internet using shared network mode but when I use bridge network it says that i'm still connected using ethernet. it seems like my wifi airport is completely missing on the guest os Please can anyone help me with this issue...I have been searching online for a solution for the past couple of days and would really appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.
Hi keshsr, The Mac shares the internet connection with the installed Virtual Machine (VM). The VM would not be able to connect to the wireless network as a seperate device. You can select the default adapter option and use the Bridged network on the VM General info on networking modes is available here: http://kb.parallels.com/4948 Thanks, Looran
Thanks Looran...yes!!! I finally figured it out afters hours of searching but thank you so much for your help. If you don't mind can i ask you one more thing. if i install a vpn on my parallells VM such as ubuntu using open vpn will the data be secure as if using a vpn through the host system
