So my old mac died and I got a new one pre-loaded with Mavericks.

I manged to pull my stuff off my old mac by booting it in target drive mode and plugging it into my new mac. Everything cam over, all is well.

Except P7 doesn't work. So, I pony up the $50 and download P9.

I click on 'Install' it pops up a window with 'Checking for new software' and an ever spinning barber pole.

Can anyone loan me some clue, I have to do a demo with a customer in the morning...

    Thanks,
    Bob

    Hi Bob,

Please follow the steps outline below to resolve your issue:

    1. Open Disk Utility application on Mac > choose Mac HD there > click Repair Disk Permissions.
    2. Restart your Mac.
    3. Uninstall Parallels Desktop 7 for Mac using this article: Parallels Desktop 7:

    4. Once Parallels Desktop is uninstalled reboot the Mac and then install Parallels Desktop 9 by following this article:

I tried that but the uninstall app doesn't work. It hangs on startup. Perhaps the problems are related.
