I recently installed Mavericks and have discovered a problem with twin monitor support. I am running Desktop 9, always in window mode with a Windows 7 guest machine. If I run the virtual machine on my Macbook monitor, everything is fine. However, if I drag the window to my external monitor and then close Parallels, the next time I start Parallels and my virtual machine I can't get to it. If I then disconnect the external monitor, the virtual machine appears on my Macbook monitor. I can then reconnect the external monitor and drag the window to it.

I have tried the obvious reinstall of Parallels but it's still the same.

    Cheers,

    Jeff

    Hi Jeffg53,

To use multiple monitors in Parallels Desktop on Mavericks, the options are

    1. Update Parallels Desktop 9 for Mac to the latest build from Parallels Desktop menu=>Check for updates
    or
    2. Turn off the option "Displays have separate Spaces" from "Apple menu=> System Preferences->Mission Control". Please note that this would affect all programs on Mac OS.
    or
    3. Turn off the option "Use native Mac OS X Full Screen" in the "Virtual Machine Configuration->Options->Full Screen".

    4. Log out and then log back in to your Mac user account.

    Thanks,
    Looran

    Hi Looran,

Many thanks for your reply. I'm up and running just like before. That's superb service.

    Cheers,
