when i originally install windows 8 through parallels i installed with the plan of using the host desktop and not the actually windows desktop (the default settings when installing windows 8). however i was messing around with key commands and i had the windows 8 desktop appear on my screen and i'm not sure how it got there. anyone know how i can remove the desktop screen and go back to the default settings? i've restarted the program and gone into preferences and tried the reset to defaults with no results. any help would be great.
Hello DerrllB, If you are talking about the Windows 8 starting up with the Mac OS desktop screen and accessing the Windows start menu from the || symbol on the Mac menu bar then kindly refer the knowledge base article : http://kb.parallels.com/4670 where you can find information about how to default back to the original settings when you installed Windows 8.
