When running in coherence mode, is there any way to have the maximise/restore button function like the full screen button in OS X and have apps fill a whole space of their own?

After losing a whole day's work, I've come to the conclusion I'd rather put up with Word for Windows slowness than Word for Mac's constant crashing, but it's annoying losing so much of the screen to the dock or taskbar.

I'd also love it if coherence could make Windows apps use OS X type rendering, but I guess that's something of pipe dream...
