We have a recurring issue which is driving us nuts! Parallels seems to change the disk number on external thunderbolt drives every time you restart! We have two connected thunderbolt drives and both get names Pegasus R4 (disk4) or (disk5), so no way of identifying which one disk 4 or 5 actually refer to!!! There actual names are "Work" and "Media Shuttle" but parallels doesn't see those names. This is annoying because if you select the wrong raid you don't want to be booted in windows you have to restart the entire machine to get it to share on the network again. Then you have a 50/50 chance of guessing which is which! Why can't you customise the external disk name? Seems like a simple thing... Perhaps we are missing something?
Hi MartinOrchard, Please see this KB article for the instructions on how to assign a drive letter to the mapped Mac drives: http://kb.parallels.com/116127 Thanks, Manoj
