    Hi everybody,

I'm totally new to Parallels and Mac so I'm facing some problems right now. I just bought an 2013 Macbook Air wird Mavericks and Installed Parallels 8 to Run Windows 8.1, which is working well so far. Then I Tried to share my Mac Folders with the vrtual machine but when I tried to configurate, I couldn't find any option like "Shared Profiles" like I saw it in several how to Videos an Youtube. I figured out, that it looks like I haven't installed Parallels Tools so I tried to install it with the Virtual machine option in the Taskbar but there was no option like "reinstall Parallels tools". When I tried to intsall it manually (as shown in the Parallels how tos) I found out that there no folder /Library/Parallels/. To be honest I have no clue what to do now, because I can#t even find the parallels folder in my /Library/. Can somebody help me?

This maybe of interest, I downloaded the Paralles installer on the homepage, as I bought the parallels CD to have the key.

    Thanks in advance, best regards
    André

PS: Sorry for my bad english but I'm not a native, I hope I made everything clear and if not please don't hesitate to ask me!

Thanks for the reply, unfortunatly this doesn't work for me, as I don't have the "Reinstall Parallels Tools" in my menubar and I also can't find parallels tools in the programms of my virtual machine.
Isn't there the possibility of downloading the installer directly?

I don't know what you are doing and if you watched the video carefully and removed Parallels Tools as it says before installing it, etc. Because if you did, you should be seeing 'Reinstall Parallels Tools'. I also don't know what articles you read and if they refer to the same version you are using, because in recent versions the path is: /Applications/Parallels Desktop.app/Contents/Resources/Tools
