Hello I am a newbie and unsure about my move to a Mac. I work as a translator and use memoQ translation software which requires a Windows OS. I purchased Windows 8.1 full version and installed it after installing Parallels Desktop 9 for Mac; I read the instructions (!) and thus used the 32bit CD-Rom to install. Then I installed memoQ, opened it and found the display quality very poor completely unlike what I was used to on my old sony vaio pc; so I would like to uninstall the 32bit version and reinstall with the 64bit version. How should I go about this?

To install the 64 bit version you start over, from scratch, there's no upgrade path from 32 to 64 bits. You delete the old VM, as you'll not need it, and create a new VM and install the 64 bit version of Windows.

However, it will unlikely make any difference, the low quality you speak off doesn't seem likely to change from 32 to 64.
