I just purchased Parallels Desktop 9.

I am running Windows XP Professional on PD9 on Mavericks (Mac OS X 10.9.1).

    The problem:
My company is a Windows only environment and uses 802.11X authentication with certificates installed on company Windows PCs. All Windows PCs automatically authenticate and connect to the comapny WiFi networks globally.

On my MacBook, I have tried Shared Network as well as Bridged to Airport. The Windows guest OS is not able to authenticate and connect to WiFi as it doesn't have receive a valid WiFi connection shared by the Mac (host) OS. The Mac host OS cannot authenticate and connect to the company WIFi network as it doesn't have the right certificates.

Is there any way to accomplish this? Sort of let the Windows guest OS direct access to the Airport adapter and allow it to authenticate using the company 802.11X certificates and join the WiFi network EVEN THOUGH the Mac host OS does not have access to the WiFi network due to lack of certificates?

(Note: I don't care if the Mac OS side doesn't have access to the WiFi network when I am at work. I just want Windows to authenticate and connect via Airport when I am at work.)

Thanks for any help anybody can provide.

    Best,

OS X won't relinquish control of AirPort adapter to the VM. What you can do is to pick up a USB WiFi dongle and assign it to VM via Devices > External devices menu. This should get you going.

What a great idea! Let me try that.

Will it also work if I connect my iPhone via Bluetooth or USB or via WiFi hotspot and assign it to the VM? Has anybody tried this?
