Since installing the update I am unable to run Parallels in Coherence mode. I have tried to increase the video memory allocation with no luck. Is anyone having the same problem?
I am running into the same issue. I am running the same update 24172 on a New MacBook Pro running Mavericks...running Windows 8.1 with the Windows 7 look enabled. I have tried everything...reinstalling Parallels tools, turning on and off Windows 7 look, hot corners, you name it...as soon as I go into Coherence mode...I can't see anything within the Windows virtual machine...drop out of Coherence, everything works fine. Let us know if anyone has seen this...or if Parallels support can help us out. Thanks.
Hello GregRut, I was able to fix the issue by deleting the Parallels virtual machine (out of Documents > Parallels) and removed it from Parallels. Setup a new machine...mine did not show the option to add the Bootcamp partition...so I added a new virtual machine, continued without disc. Select customize before starting and under hard drive, select the Bootcamp partition...then let it rebuild. Within a few minutes, I was back up and running in Coherence mode. Let me know if it works for you as well.
Hi All, I'm slightly confused, is this problem only seen when using boot camp? I was going to upgrade to V9 parallels but after looking at some of the comments from the latest update to it, I really cannot afford to screw up my production environment. Parallels really should address these issues asap because some of them seem very bad or more to the point have they really sufficiently tested their updates prior to sending them out?? I guess I'll stay on V8 for now but any recommendations and thoughts about V9 would be appreciated. kind regards all Kevin
