I keep getting a crackling/static noise upon upgrading from Parallels 7 to 8 and then to 9 on a Mac running OSX Mountain. I initially thought it was an issue with my "motherboard" and visited the Apple Genius bar several times. Finally I ascertained it was a Parallels software issue and I downgraded back to Parallels 7 and the issue was resolved. I was hoping that updating to OS X Mavericks would resolve the issue but to no avail. I have combed the Parallels knowledge base for a solution but have had no luck so far. I have read the appropriate threads on the Internet and seem like there are other users with similar challenges. Does anyone have a solution for this issue?
Me too have this problem. I've tried contacting Parallels support and didnt get any useful help (except reinstalling the whole scabang). I too can confirm downgrading to PD 8 resolves my issue. That's why I find it kinda strange Parallels support team won't give me a damn refund for upgrading to PD9 when I can't use it................................. Does Parallels staff ever search these forums?
I'm going to try this when I get home from work: http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?282533-Loud-Crackling-Noise&p=708854&viewfull=1#post708854
