I use a MB Pro Retina (2012) with 2 extra monitors. The Windows 7 guest I use on the laptop screen as a full-screen guest and I use the other 2 monitors for reference and email etc. while working in Windows.
Before this update I could use Windows 7 in a full screen and the mouse would happily roll out of the Windows VM and into the Mac host and back with no user intervention except a click on the return journey to enable the Windows mouse.
This seems to have changed. I now have to CTRL-ALT to move the mouse out of the Windows full-screen guest and into the host. The "Mouse pointer sticks at window edges" setting has no affect, at least in full screen mode, and, as far as I can see, nothing in the VM configuration has changed.
Anyone else notice this and have a magic solution for it?
I would much rather it worked as it did before the upgrade as I constantly move between the guest and host while working.

It seems that Parallels Tools did not update properly for your VM. Either mouse filter driver or display driver is missing (this could be checked in Windows Device Manager by expanding "Mice and other pointing devices" and "Display adapters" ranches). Try to re-install the tools again and see if it helps.

    Thanks for the reply.
I already checked the Device Manager entries and they show no problems. I have now re-installed Parallels Tools and the situation is the same.
What changed between the two builds? Is there any way of returning to the last build as this problem, although small, is tiresome?

There were no changes between the builds that could affect mouse in a way you describe it.
One more thing I could think of is that your VM Configuration > Hardware > Mouse & Keyboard > SmartMouse is set to Optimize for Games. If it is, switch it to Auto-detect for games.
Otherwise open Device Manager in Windows expand Display and Mouse branches and generate a problem report via Parallels Help menu, post report ID here.

    Thanks for the reply, again.
Smartmouse was set to Auto-detect for games so I set it to Optimize for Games then reset it to Auto-detect for Games and what do you know? I now have a fully-mobile mouse again... or, at least, did until I locked the configuration. I am now back to where I was before. The mouse shows no inclination to automatically move between the Windows VM (whether in full-screen or windowed - although it does work in coherence) and the OSX host without using the CTRL-ALT key combination. No amount of changing the Smartmouse setting or locking/unlocking the configuration will revert to what I had for a few fleeting seconds a little while ago.
The report has been sent with ID 31269814.

Thanks for your patience and the report. So far, your set up seems normal on the surface, we have to dig a bit deeper.
May I ask you to submit one more report with additional settings? In Parallels Desktop menu > Preferences > Advanced enable Use detailed log messages check-box and submit a new report, post ID here again.
Now, try switching SmartMouse mode to Don't optimize for games and see if it helps.

The new report ID is 31275151.
I have just tried with Smartmouse set to Don't optimise for games with exactly the same results.

OK. I take that back. After a second restart of the VM with SmartMouse set to Don't optimise for games I now seem to have my wandering mouse back.
I'll try it for a few days and see what (if anything) happens.
    Thanks

From your last report it appears that Windows hides hardware mouse pointer and draws it into the frame buffer directly. This happens when mouse trails are enabled in Windows or a particularly large pointer image is selected. Anyway, Don't optimize for games should help.
