Hello, I'm having issues sharing Mac applications in the Guest OS. My setup is: - OSX Mavericks Host OS - Parallels Desktop 9 for Mac - Windows 8.1 Guest OS My configuration is: - Parallel Tools installed - Share Windows applications with Mac - enabled - Share Mac applications with Windows - enabled My problems are: - In Windows, my "Parallels Shared Applications" folder is empty. I can however assign Mac applications to Windows file extensions from the list that pops up at "Open with..." - When doing the above though, I am not seeing all installed Mac applications. Specifically, I would like to open my .php files with Dreamweaver in Mac and my .psd files with Photoshop. These applications don't show in the list to choose from though. When I choose "Open on Mac" it works, but I prefer to open files by double-clicking, so by having a default program assigned to the file extension. I've reinstalled the Parallel Tools a number of times, but to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance for that! Cheers, Thijs
My Issue is totally Opposite of yours My setup is the exact same as your. I'm using 8.1 Pro however. When in Coherence, I want to open my word and excel files always with Word & Excel for Windows, respectively. When I select to "open with" on the Mac side, NONE of my Windows applications are available to select. As for your issue, I believe if you choose "open with" you get the Window's 8 pop up and at the very bottom, you can select "more applications" or "more choices"... It may be hidden and you have to scroll down sometimes. Hope that helps you. ON the Windows side, I can select any of my Mac apps, but I can't do the opposite anymore. Prior to Parallels 9 and Windows 8, I could. Any suggestions? -- Paul
