I have a MacBook retina running OSX Mavericks. I'm using Parallels Desktop 9 to run Windows 8. I updated Windows 8 to Windows 8.1, and suddenly Coherence mode stopped working. Is anyone else having this problem? I'm not running multiple monitors.
I'm having the same issue with my MacBook Air. I've tried reinstalling the Parallels Tools, but nothing changes.
Hi All, If regular Parallels reinstall doesn't help, please perform a clean reinstall as suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/8969 (make sure to clean it from registry as described in "Uninstall, clean up, delete temporary files & install Parallels Tools" section).
Mine was a clean install (8.1 vl disk) into a brand new VM but running Parallels 8 on 10.9. Still has the same issue. Coherence mode non-functional, black windows and scrambled contents.
I had seen the advice given in KB article 8969, but I ignored it because the article states that it applies to Desktop 5 and 6. I assumed that it was an old article and wasn't relevant because I'm running Desktop 9. If that article is still relevant to Desktop 8 and 9, please update it to say so. I ended up creating a new VM with an ISO image for Windows 8.1. Coherence mode works fine on this new VM with Parallels 9 on 10.9. I deleted the old VM.
Same issue , but not only coherence, the problem is related to the whole video section , multiscreen not working and also autoresizing of the screen resolution is looked. the parallel support requested to remove and reinstall the parallel tools , but unfortunately the reboot after the un-installing crash the system , and i have to restore a previous set point
I just installed Parallels fresh with a previously installed Windows 8.1 bootcamp. Coherence doesn't work. Crashed once. Gray screens without info other times. Hasn't worked with a single program.
