Hey Guys First, sorry for mistakes in writing English, i'll try my best... I'm Working with Mac OS X 10.7.5, Parallels Desktop 7 and Windows7 on it... My Problem: When i attach a USB-Stick to the VM, then i see it there but as a Networkpath... The Problem: It's a Dongle and it dont work as a Networkpath... All other works fine (Install from it for example...). How can i change it that the USB Drive works as "real" USB-Drive and not as a Networkpath? Thank you for your help Greetz Derbeth from Switzerland
You see your stick connected as network drive because of "smart mount" feature enabled. Just connect your stick to VM as USB device. Select Devices in menu, or edit virtual machine configuration.
ty. When i disable the SmartMount feature then nothing happens in Windows (no action when i plug in the Dongle... not as Network USB not as normal USB). Can you help me more? What you mean with Select Devices in menu?
Go to the Devices menu while the VM is running. Under USB (it's called External Devices in PD9), select the drive you are trying to connect. This is equivalent to plugging the USB drive into the VM. Steve
Ty. 1. While "smart mount" is turned on: - I see the USB Dongle as network Drive... When i click on the Device it disappears from the network Device... Nothing more happend then (he is now gone from everything without the Devices list...) 2. While "smart mount" is turned off: - I don't see the USB Dongle.... When i click in the Device on the USB Dongle - nothing appears... I hope any1 can help me with this...
