Hi, I have Desktop 9.0. How can I upgrade from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1. I tried earlier, but now my VM is extremely slow. The mouse seems to be working, but in "slow motion". Tried changing settings that did not help. I'm just short of creating a new VM with the old Windows 8. Any thoughts? Also is there a way to copy all of my existing apps from an existing VM to a new one? Thanks in advance.

I think you are good to go with the upgrade.
There's no way in copying apps between one VM to another (like it's not possible between the PC), you will have to reinstall your programs if you decide to start from the scratch.
As for the existing VM, please follow these steps:
    1. Backup your VM: http://kb.parallels.com/en/8829
    2. Upgrade Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 (download it from Microsoft)
    3. Reinstall Parallels Tools: http://kb.parallels.com/en/4841

Thanks Andrew. The mouse now works well, however I can no longer drag (copy) files from the VM desktop to the Mac desktop. Also I cannot restart the VM by using the drop down menu: "Virtual Machine" -> "Restart". Also is it safe to upgrade my Mac to Mavericks OS without jeopardizing my VMs? I checked with Apple and my PC is fully compatible with the new OS. Thanks, Michael
