PD9: Why would Wizard pop up automatically with New Virtual Machine selected?

My config is OS 10.8.5 and Windows 7 on an iMac with PD in Coherence mode. I upgraded from PD7 to PD9 a few weeks ago without making any other changes to OS-X or Windows. When I came in just now after being gone for a few hours, I noticed that the "Parallels Wizard" window had popped up with the "New Virtual Machine" icon selected. Is parallels trying to tell me something is wrong? Both OS-X and Windows programs have been running with no problems since the upgrade and still seem to be.

 

Let's start with Parallels Desktop 9 reinstall:
1. Uninstall with http://kb.parallels.com/116992
2. Re-download and install from http://www.parallels.com/directdownload/pd9/
