    Hi
I had a problem with parallels 8 immediately after installing windows 8.1 on Boot Camp. I tried to use windows 8.1 using parallels but received a message that "The disk partitions in Windows Boot Camp are not the same as in Mac OS.". I have two macbook retina 15 inch and they both had the same problem. I tried the solutions suggested on the following link (except reinstalling windows) but nothing worked.

Now the start page of Parallels 8 does not even show the Boot Camp option (by the way, restarting mac into Boot Camp works). Could anyone help me with this?

Just another data point that I'm seeing the same issues with a mid-2010 MBP, Parallels 8 & Windows 8.1 on a Boot Camp partition.

rEFIt didn't seem to help--my first attempt at syncing the GPT and MBR partition tables said they were in sync, and subsequently, Win8.1 went into a "Repair Loop." I had to wipe my Boot Camp partition and reinstall Windows 8.

I just upgraded to parallel 9 with trial and it worked. But it keeps crashing over and over!! Very frustrating!!
