I was running Windows 8 Consumer Preview for 1 small app in P8 fine.

Today after upgrading, its been 30mins and I still cannot open the app. VM is chugging along like its on a 386x back in the early 90s. Every window is (Not Responding). Its a major step backwards. A reboot of the OS just made it worst.

    Anyone else having problems?

I dumped Parallels 9.0 after paying for the upgrade and went back to 8.0. Parallels 9.0 destroyed my Windows 8.0 VM after doing a reclaim disk space. That machine would no longer boot! Had to recover from a backup. Parallels 9.0 also keeps checking the box to NOT backup with Time Machine which will increase your risk of not having a backup when you need it - despite me repeatedly unchecking the box - only to have it check the box again.

My plan? Wait until Parallels releases a fix and update sometime in late October with these issues corrected. Then maybe I'll try again. For now Windows 8.0, and 8.1 RTM run fine on OS X 10.8.5 using the last build of Parallels 8.0.

Oh, and Parallels 8.0 (last build) did a find job reclaiming the disk space in the VM that 9.0 toasted.

Same with me. Paralell 9 was supposed to be faster. It is very very slower. MacOSX very slow. Windows takes 15 min to load.
