I'm having a nightmare. My mini server needed the hard drive replaced. When we went to restore we were unable to get on machine. We bought mini in dec 2010. I told my office if we have a problem. Buy a new one so our business is not down. They do, can't get it to restore. Everyone is telling us something different. Apple business team" you shouldn't have parallels on server" they are the same folks that advised and sold us this and had their certified apple tech set up. Had a guy out from Mac outfitters was at my office for 5 hours, nothing and is taking machine to work on it this weekend. They're saying maybe it was backed in snow leapord OS and problematic with new os. Apple is saying that time machine historically isn't good at restoring parallels. It's different because it is a server. I have restored a few times on my iMac from a back up without any issue. Does anyone have advise on restoring? My company is down. Spending $$$ no results. Help!!!!!!
What exactly is not working - file transfer from the backup? This is nothing to do with Parallels Desktop then. If the problem is that you cannot start the VM, what's the error message? What's the version of Parallels Desktop? Does Parallels Desktop start at all? Have you tried reinstalling it?
