I am running a Windows 8 VM using Office 2013 OneNote in coherence mode. Sometimes OneNote hides the mouse cursor (for example when typing into a text area). Once it is hidden I cannot get it to display again! This is not an issue when running in single window mode, but I really prefer to be in coherence mode. I can't seem to find a place to report this issue; is the preferred method simply e-mailing support?

    Same issue

im experiencing the same issue on my config.

    Parallels Desktop 8.0.18314
    Windows 8 RTM
    Office 2013 RTM

mouse pointer disapears on OneNote and Outook (sometimes).

I must click outside of Windows application to recover the pointer.

I'm using an external monitor in extended mode. I have already tried to uninstall and reinstall parallels tools

    Please fix-it!

    Thank you.

I saw this happen in OneNote 2013 on my Windows PC, so it may be a Microsoft bug

    Ribbon Menu Issue, too

I've been experiencing the mouse-pointer-disappearing-under-coherence-mode issue too.

Also, if the Ribbon Menu in OneNote is not collapsed, then clicking it simply opens and closes it quickly, rather than remaining open long enough to make a selection. Of course, configuring OneNote to "Collapse the Ribbon" (right-click a menu, select "Collapse Ribbon") is a work-around, not a fix for what appears to be buggy behaviour.

    I'm using:
    - Parallels Desktop 8.0.18354
    - Office 2013 (up-to-date)
    - Windows 8 Pro (up-to-date)
    - OS X 10.8.2, iMac 2011, 16GB Ram (4GB allocated to Windows VM)

Not really a resolution, but a work around. I went into the mouse settings for windows and turned on "Display pointer trails". So when I move the mouse, I see where it is. But when the mouse stops moving it disappears again.

    Fixed it

Pointer trails work, but there is a better solution.

Go to Windows control panel > mouse > pointer options > disable "Hide pointer while typing". While it will still disappear, it will come back immediately when you move the mouse now.

UPDATE: Well, okay, that still wasn't the full fix it first appeared to be. But this is: in OneNote 2013, go to File > Options > Advanced Options. In the Pen section, uncheck "Automatically switch between inking, selecting, typing and panning".
