    I had a slow shutdown problem with Parallels 7 on my rMBP. I spent $$ and lots of hours with Parallels Tech support, but they could not determine the cause. Parallels 8 does not suffer from this problem.

    Wow. Parallels 9 now - two versions later - and now January 2015 - two YEARS after the problem is identified - and STILL a problem. My Mac Pro won't shut down AT ALL.
