Running latest Parallels 3.0 (Build 4128) and some links work and some do not. Parallels Prefs > Network:- Enable DHCP scope for shared is OFF Enable DHCP scope for host-only is ON and currently allocated IP address is our DHCP range. In bridging options (what i call the icons in bottom right of Parallels window - never uses Coherence as it's too scary) the Network has following ticked:- Connect en0 - Ethernet Adapter Using MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo, 3GB RAM and 10.4.9. Can anyone offer any improvements to this setup for improved reliability? Regards
The setup you describe by turning off DHCP scope shared I question. I have found the fastest setup has been "Default Adapter". In most cases I have a failure sometime during my time connected. In Default mode I seem to stay on line better. I need a full time connection during the day as I am a Trader and during market time I use several programs that need Real Time Connections. One of my concerns is that the setup does not mirror my Mac setup and I don't understand why. All I know it just works the way I said. Any other thoughts are welcome. Regards. Jim
i am also having dropped connection issues. we are using v3.0 and the virtual will not stay connected throughout the day. i've tried the default adapter and it's helped by not dropping the connection every 5 minutes but it still happens countless times per day. any information on this would be great.
