I am running Windows 7 64 bit and whenever I try to play a game using DirectX or OpenGL, it does not work. I thought it was just the game until I tried playing a video in VLC, only the sound came through, so I changed the video output to OpenGL and sure enough, just like the game, crashed every time I tried to load it up (because it was loading up the program with the preferences set to OpenGL/DirectX). Why doesn't the VM allow OpenGL/DirectX? It did on Windows XP 32 bit.

I currently have the same problem. I am working with Windows XP and am trying to play Tiger Woods PGA Tour '06 and Links 2003 but both crash when they get to the graphics. Links 2003 says that the "3D acceleration is turned off." I have installed and re-installed Parallels Tools and have confirmed that "3D acceleration" is "On" and the box to "Enable vertical synchronization" is checked. Any suggestions would be appreciated as to how to get these 2 programs to work. There just aren't any golf games for the PC being supported by the developers these days. It's either X-Box or Playstation games. I just spent over $2,000 on a Macbook Pro and don't want to spend any more money for a PC just to play a couple of unsupported golf games.

If everything else fails, you can always use Bootcamp, you won't need to buy a PC.

Can you run Bootcamp if you're also running Parallels? I don't want to slow down my computer or interfere with the other 99% of the time I'm on my computer. Thanks so much for your quick response!
