I am running a Mac Mini OSX 10.8.3 and Windows 7 trouble started when Windows no longer recognized my password. From the Forum I can see this this has happened before to many other users. Since I have a mini I cant burn or boot from a CD so the freeware pw resets are not an option. I tried the reset script posted on another thread - others have used it successfully to reset the pw - but I got an error message. Now Parallels doesn't want to run at all? If I click on Finder - Parallels appears in the Applications folder. (The icon used to appear at the bottom of the desktop. My window7 applications folder is still there but none of those applications will run unless of course Parallels is running and Windows 7 is up an running too.) BUT clicking on Parallels results in nothing - so I cannot even proceed with the support request protocol because Parallels wants me to do things that are only available when Parallels is open??? this is beyond frustrating!! :-(
thanks for the reply - oddly enough when I went to see what I could do about reinstalling...I was prompted to install the latest Parallels update so that took care of itself. Still have the Windows 7 password problem though . I am going to try the password reset script again and see if the new update had any effect of the error message that i got before
