I think you shouldn't be asking for a new version, you should be asking for an update to your current version that fix possible problems? I'm not sure you would want to pay for an upgrade for something that should be fixed in the current version?
I'm also unsure what's making your distros run slow... It might not necessarily be something that Parallels can fix. You should post a description in the appropriate Linux sub-forum.
