I'm using PD8 and Windows 7 on a MacBookPro w/Retina Display. I'm running a simulation/game program (RealFlight G6.5). When I originally set up this VM after purchasing the machine about six weeks ago, I was getting reasonably good graphics (not real high resolution) in RealFlight but I was getting around 300 frames per second. Shortly thereafter, there was a Mac OS update that improved the graphics performance in games. The result was better graphics in RealFlight but the frame rate dropped to around 130-150. Now, Windows has installed an update (automatically and I don't know which one it was; several were installed but they were mostly security updates). Windows restarted and reset my screen resolution to 2880 x 1800. I think it was somewhere around 2200 x ? before. My frame rate dropped to around 75 fps. I've reset the resolution to 2048 x 1536 but I'm not getting my frame rate back. The VM is configured for 1 GB VRAM (16 GB on this machine), DirectX9, Best For Retina, & 4 GB for Windows. Adaptive Hypervisor is also enabled.

How can I get my frame rate back over 120-130 fps?

Okay, I'm not sure what happened but I'm back where I was. I also believe that I had been running at 2880 x 1800 previously but that Windows update (whatever it was) reset it to something slightly smaller (but greater and 2048 x 1536). I had restarted a couple of times, including restarting the Mac. I installed a couple more security updates in Windows and, when it restarted, RealFlight was again running as it had been (130-150 fps). This will probably remain one of those great Microsoft mysteries.
