I am new to Mac OSX and Parallels and my question may already be covered somewhere else but I am unable to find what I need to know.

Having just last week bought a Macbook Pro with retina display, I knew I would need a solution to run MS Access in Windows, as I have 12 years of business data in there that I can't do without and will need to continue to use. I want to use Windows 7 and Office 2010.

My question is what is the best configuration to run the beast called MS Access? The clear advantage of Parallels is that I would be able to switch quickly between operating systems. However I am interested to know if people have experience with running Access in Parallels vs Bootcamp and if or what the (dis)advantages of each install are?

    Many thanks.

I am a little further back in Access and Windows than you want to be, but I have no problem running Access 97 on Windows XP in the parallels program. Mac OS 10.6.8 and 10.7./5 It actually runs faster than it does on a PC.
