Windows program display tiny menu items

Hi, one of my windows program when run in W7 on P8 display all characters in very tiny fonts which can't be seen. Also the menu items overlap one another so is unreadable.

However if use for a while and like waking from sleep or some operation suddenly the characters become big again and works well. But if put to sleep or closing and opening, the shrinking happens again.

As it's one of my important program this is a real bother. Hope you can let me know what setting is triggering this issue or solving it.

I am using MacBook Pro Retina.

 

My first guess is that the program in question doesn't support DPI scaling. Try setting VM Configuration > Hardware > Video > Resolution to Scaled and restarting Windows.

 

Thanks, the trick was the restarting after changing the settings.
