Upgrade Mac, parallels disk has glue on it

I just bought a new Mac. Came with Parallels. The disk has adhesive stuck to the data side and will not work in my drive.
Anyone know if I can use my registration number from the Parallels package and a downloaded "trial" version to make things work legally?
