    Hi everyone

I am having a rather serious issue. I have been using parallel desktop to run Autocad software on my mac. However after ponying up the cash i have purchased a mac version of Autocad. However it refuses to install because it detects the version on parallel. After realising this i removed it from my windows virtual machine but autocad still detects the older copy. Anyone else run into a situation like this?

I am in desperate need of resolving this issue. I have looked everywhere but nobody seems to have this issue. I have never had a copy of cad on my mac just on parallel.

    Thanks for your time.

Windows is installed in bootcamp, right?
Autocad and other autodesk apps use a very intrusive antipiracy system that writes to an empty space between the MBR and the adjacent partition.

There's no easy way to get rid of this except raw editing the sector or completely reformat the drive, if that's the reason why you can't install, I'm sorry. Personally, I think autodesk has gone too far.
