Mounting HDD in Mac OS X without Parallels

Hi, I bought Parallels 3 (and I think and upgrade to 4) years ago but stopped using it for a while.

I now need to access the data I had on my HDD but can't open Parallels as I'm now on Mountain Lion. I'll buy an upgrade when I can, in a month or so, but in the meantime I need to access my data on the HDD.

Is there any way to do this? The version of Parallels mounter I have no longer launches, and I can't find a way to download an updated version. I understand the need to upgrade Parallels (though not ideal) but am hoping there are still tools for me to access my data in the meantime.
