I am having issues resizing a virtual drive. I have a 30GB Plain disk (not expanding) that I want to increase to 60GB but when I set 60GB as the new size and Apply it, it goes through the whole process and then it ends up as still being a 30GB drive (as per Parallels interface) and will no longer boot. I normally keep my VMs on an exFAT formatted external drive but I have also tried expanding the disk while it is on my laptop drive. I have resized the drive in question in the past but it has been a while and it would have been with Parallels 6.

    Specifics...
    Parallels 7
    Win7 virtual drive
    15" Mid-2009 MBP

What problem doyou have? does you VM boot?

  6. I resized the XP harddisk. it ran with no error messages but at the end. i discover it did NOT increase the HDD size and Windows XP will no longer boot (blue screen boot volume unmountable which i fixed).

I tried a CHKDSK /F and ran resize again. same result.

    current version of Desktop 7.
